Greetings from the Great White North!

At last here are the pictures of our current puppies now five weeks old.  It's always a challenge to define the differences from one litter to the next.  Here are some of the remarkable features we are seeing already:  large bone, broad heads, substance.  Very strong nerve.  These little pups are solid as were Gerta's with Imo in 2005 and 2006.  When they are set loose to wander about and pass one of the big dog crates, when that territorial blast of barking erupts, these guys simply look, contemplate, and after some study of the situation, calmly redirect to a quieter place in the room.  I love this!  But they are cuddlers.  The characteristics of both Imo and Baccara are affection, affection, and more affection, with power and strength combined.  Baccara is back in the house now (or I should say back in our living quarters as all the dogs are in the house).  Her world is complete when she can be on our son's bed.  Though she started out as my dog, she is fully his now, following his every move.    Most interesting about Baccara is that though I know her to be the pleasant sort of dog which  I am comfortable with my son taking to 4H where there are dozens of little kids with little dogs and little control, she showed quite a bit of protection of her newborn pups when strangers came to visit.  It is all there.  She is fully and fearlessly protective when called upon.  We adore her.

Enjoy the pups.  We are quite proud of them.  In fact, we are planning on keeping one of the females, which one is not yet decided.  Once that selection is made, the females will be available.  As to the males, there is still a little room left on our reservation list.  Those with names have been selected, the rest are waiting placement.
