April 2010
It is a blustery spring day, so what did the kids decide to do?
“Let’s
go fly a kite!”

Here are Hannah and Jake, with Jake flying his own kite.
Many of you have been asking for pictures of the puppies of Hero and Daila. They are fifteen days old today, with one more day of scheduled bio sensory stimulation. Bio sensory stimulation is a series of five exercises we do with the puppies everyday from age three days to sixteen days. The idea is to give them a scientifically determined amount of stress, such as holding them on their backs for five seconds, which exercises increase stamina and brain power. Besides, spending time with the pups is the best way towards better dogs. Their eyes are barely yet open.
These puppies have beautiful coloring and already show working dog strength in their health and stamina.

Here is Grant, in training to be a Search and Rescue Dog
And Nico, in training for Schutzhund

Nico’s handler writes: “Hi. I've been meaning to write and let you know how Nico is doing but never had any photos to send. Well he'll be 7 months old on the 8th and he is seventy-two lbs. He is a very quick learner but is a little head strong but that's ok. He is great with the two grandchildren. So far he is into his third phase of obedience training and is one month into his schutzhund training. He shows tremendous drive in learning and shows great enjoyment in his training. His trainer says he's one in a thousand and shows great promise.
I can't think of a better dog to have and thank you for your great breeding
program in producing such wonderful pups. I will keep you informed as to how
his training is going.
Your new litter looks great. Thanks again.
Tom
Next is Neilia,
Her owner writes:
Thank you so much for sending
me the info on Nico. He’s a male Neila—LOL The consistency of this breeding
is awesome!
Yes, we are very proud to have
her—she is exactly what you said she would be—a challenge and a joy….
I never thought I’d have a
Czech dog let alone one with Neila’s pedigree. I’ve never been a fan—worried
about the energy level and most of all the temperaments—so many are hard
dogs and not in the good way—LOL Neila is high energy and can be stubborn
but with that comes so many wonderful traits—she’s fearless, she’s loving,
she’s curious, she’s got incredible focus when motivated and that nose—oh
my! She’s tough in the best possible way and she has so much zest for
life—VBG
As you know, Neila is now 7 months old--she weighs 58 lbs and is 22.5 inches.
Marlette
Next is Axel, also in Search and Rescue:
His handler writes:
"Elizabeth,
thank you for the up-date of all the puppies. It is so nice to see them all. For sure, they all have a great home. Axel is just a wonderful great loving pup. He is learning very fast. Today he had his 3rd serious trail training. It takes all my strengths to hang onto the leach. Last week in April he will attend his first trailing seminar with Cris. I can't wait for him to be there. Again, he is a great dog, and I have high hopes for him. Thank you for breeding just a fantastic litter. Here are some of the latest Axel photos."

There are many more updated notes than I can include. All of you who keep in touch, please know that your notes make my day. I know it takes time to write and especially to include pictures, so I appreciate it all the more.
We have three puppies from this litter still available, and two more litters on the way. One of those, Max and Sara, will be longcoated DDR lines, the other, Hero and Wessa, will be similar to this litter of Hero and Daila, with each dam offering their own unique characteristics.
Happy Spring!
Elizabeth
