BORN! Eight beautiful long coated puppies have been born, May 19, 2025, to Tobbs and Nika. This litter, like Ranger and Ember's, is very special to us. Nika, littermate to her brother Ranger, brings with her the great lineage of Candle Hill Shepherds going back to our original dogs, Tag, Max and Wessa, and Jake. She also has Cardinal and Rohan in her lines. Tobbs, for his part, is half brother to Ember, sharing the same mother, Shade from Hungary. He carries forward the beauty of his grandfather, Grisu vom Frankingold, as well as, great character from his sire, Valiant. Long coated puppies, most will be beautiful red sable, one female is black and red.

PLANNED BREEDINGS

This summer, we are planning on breeding Bear, Strongheart von Lamp CGC for a 100% DDR litter with our new female, Merit vom MK Haus CGC. These will be black and bicolor, DDR puppies, with thick bone and significant substance. Their temperament should be like their parents with a combination of power with affection, courage with willingness to please. It will be a line breeding on some significant DDR dogs, Enno Stasi and Rasputin vom Flassgraben to name a few.

Kip and Mercy are planned to have black and red standard and long coated puppies, towards the end of summer.

All puppies come microchipped, having had routine deworming, and their first vaccination.  Our breeding program is now DM (Degenerative Myelopathy) CLEAR, such that none of our breeding pairs carry the gene for DM.  All of our puppies will be DM clear.  Furthermore, parents of our puppies have been screened against hip and elbow dysplasia, having had their hips and elbows x-rayed and evaluated by the OFA or SV to be sure that they have healthy bone structure to pass onto their offspring.
